I don't think that my mother would have been able to purchase a home without Laurie's help. My mother, Maria, was not comfortable going through the process without my help and I live two hours away. Luckily for us, Laurie was willing to help ease my mother's concerns even if it meant more work. Laurie would explain everything to my mother and then she would e-mail me what she and my mother had discussed. This double information sharing eased my mother's concern and made me more comfortable too! We had been working with a mortgage broker in the Cities and about 1 week before we were supposed to close he said we could not be approved. We were so upset and very sad that we had been turned down for a loan, however our realtor mentioned our situation to Laurie Whitlow at Bell Mortgage and she said she would meet with us to discuss other options. After talking with Laurie we realized that the broker we had been working with was not allowed to provide programs for 1st time homebuyers or government programs such as FHA that we were able to get approved under with Laurie at Bell.
